From weddings and marriages to women’s rights, things have changed a lot from the late 1800's early 1900's to today. In today's world women are treated equally in the marriage, not like an accessory to the man. In A Doll's House, Nora is treated like a doll, not like an actual human being with feeling. Living in England, Women in 1900 barely had any rights. The chart below shows how many jobs that women held in 1900. Barely any women held skilled labor jobs, while the majority held unskilled or motherly jobs.

The world sure has seen an improvement from the time that A Doll's House was written to today. No one would have expected for women to be such a predominate part of the world today when they were treated like toys just over 100 years ago.
